Marriage is a two way street, no doubt about that. Last week my husband

came home from work and started complaining about an ingrown toenail;

automatically I showed him mine. Then he started talking about his dry

hands, again I showed him mine. I didn’t think much about it, until my son

came home from school and started talking about his chapped lip. Again I

talked about mine. OMG!How rude and selfish have I been. That’s where

the idea for this article came from.

1) Me

Try and use the word "Me" less! You probably don’t even realize how often

you use that word. Same with the word "I". Once you catch yourself using

that word try and think of something else to say in it’s place. Like maybe

"You". How is your ingrown toenail, how are your chapped lips, etc.

2) Lighten Up

Laugh, act silly, tell jokes! If you are anything like me you are the "Mature

One"; Sometimes I feel like I’ve lost my sense of humor cause I am always

being "Mom". Responsibility tends to suck the life out of you. Try and find

some humor in life, even if it means reading a book of jokes. Here’s a starter

" What did one Volcano say to the other"? I Lava You!

3) Think Back

Find a nice, quiet, relaxing place and close your eyes. Think back to when

you and your spouse first met. What attracted him to you? Remember how

jealous you got when someone flirted with him? Remember how you felt

just being around him; you didn’t want to leave his side.

4) Communicate

When he comes home from work don’t start griping about the kids, your job,

etc. {There’s time later for that}. Find interesting things to talk about, keep

up with current events, read the newspaper, watch the news. Try and talk

about something beside the kids and jobs. Ask questions!

What would you do if you won the lottery?

If you could live anywhere, Where?

If you could have one physical thing changed, what?

Well color me sad; my oldest son is wanting to move from sunny Florida to Green Bay, Wisconsin. OMG!

He's 21 and yes I know it's inevitable that he will eventually move out but hell, all the way to Wisconsin. Oh Man! His girlfriend lives there.

Sure I'm glad he wants to move out but why so frickin far away? Nooooooooooooooooo.

The only reason he is still here is because his Dad is working in Memphis. When hubby gets back he plans on leaving. If I want to cry all I have to do is picture that day happening.

We have been through a lot together; I mean a lot. I can not express how much I will miss him. Let's just say it's way more than a lot. Like now; the only reason I'm making it through this experience with his Dad being in Memphis is cause of Jesse. Otherwise I would have already had a lot of meltdowns. He makes me laugh when I'm sad. Takes me shopping when I feel down. I love him so much.

Crap, here comes the tears. He's a great son and a great big brother to his sister and brother.

Guess that's enough on this subject.

Will have an awesome article in my next post.

When was the last time you sat down and had dinner with your family? It is the meal we often miss because we work so late, the kids have after school events or we are just tired from daily activities. But, missing dinner with the family can show your kids that "Family Time" is not all that important.

Family meals are more than just dinner. It is about the only time that families have to share their daily events that happened through the week. Whether you all sit down to the dinner table together or enjoy a meal on fold out tables in the living room, the important thing is that you are together.

There are some interesting facts surrounding family supperr time. For instance, teens that spend dinner time eating with their family are less likely to get involved in drugs, alcohol or other such activity. This is a point many parents will find interesting. Out of all of the things you do to try to keep your kids away from bad influences, the one thing that is the greatest influence is still the event that we skip routinely.

Why is dinner so important? For one thing, it is a time to share thoughts and feelings. All day, kids are influenced by teachers, friends and the outside world. At the dinner table, they get a chance to connect with their parents on tough issues like schoolwork, peer pressure, friendships and other things. They can each share and help one another with helpful suggestions. Parents can even talk about work or family finances over a meal.

The main point is that conversation is taking place. The average parent talks to their child less than 40 minutes a week. It takes a second to say “Hi” when you come in at night, but that isn’t effective communication. When dinner is shared by the family, you spend at least 45 minutes to an hour talking about everything and anything that may be on your mind. Even if you are watching a television program, engaging questions can arise from topics addressed in the program.

Young children learn how to communicate with their siblings and parents. They are the center of attention with questions about their day and it makes them feel happy. You know that kids always want to be in the limelight when they are a certain age and this helps them learn to share the spot with others.

Sweatpants maybe! Is your hair in a ponytail? Do you have lipstick on? If you answered yes to these questions, then yes,You probably are dressing down for him and don’t even realize it.Think back to when you started dating your spouse!

Remember the excitement you felt as you rushed to get all dolled up for him. Did you Spritz on a little cologne? Did you polishyour nails? I bet you fixed up your hair, made sure your legs were shaved and maybe even rubbed on some skin lotion.

There was a comment I heard from a Latino Gal who said that “American women dress for comfort” while Latino women dress to impress their men. That got me thinking that maybe she’s right, because as I’m writing this article I’m barefoot, wearing stretch pants and a baggy tee shirt. My Hair is in a ponytail and I have no makeup on. And yes, I am comfortable.

So, are you in the comfort zone too? Most likely you are if you are a stay at home Mom, a homemaker or retired. Just out of curiosity I emailed a group of women friends and asked them a few questions covering this topic.

The questions I asked them were:

1) Do you change out of comfortable clothes into something maybe, not as comfortable before your spouse gets home?

2) Is your hair always in a ponytail?

3) Are your fingernails polished?

4) Are your legs shaved?

The results I got from these girls were kind of what I expected; it seems the younger and more recently married girls did get dressed up before their husbands showed up. And the women that have been married for a longer length of time stayed the way they dressed earlier in the day. No make up, no fingernail polish, no lipstick.

Again, just out of curiosity I did an experiment with my husband. After 21 years of marriage I kind of slacked off on the "Get Dressed Up" kind of thing. So when he came home from work the other day; I had on some makeup, had on some nice clothes and even went so far as to use the curling iron on my hair. All evening long he kept telling me how good I looked.

I think I might have messed up though, because, the very next day he came home with all kinds of new makeup: blush, foundation, lipstick, mascara, cotton balls, polish remover, a set of fake fingernails and 7 bottles of fingernail polish.

Oh dear, does this mean I have to "Get Dressed Up" every day. Yikes!!!!

Well Ladies, maybe we should take this as a hint and think about dressing up for our man instead of dressing down. Just try it once and see what his response will be; who knows, maybe he will think he forgot an important occasion and treat you to a dinner and movie.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-13703296760119954382012-01-25T12:19:00.000-08:002012-01-25T12:21:05.343-08:00Handmade GiftsGift giving can be an expensive part of our lives nowadays. In this article I will share some handmade gift ideas that will save you some money and will show that special someone how much you appreciate them.

Food Gifts:

Who doesn't like the smell of homemade cookies or bread? If you enjoy the idea of smelling food baking just think how much the recipient of homemade cookies will feel. You can put them in a regular old canning jar and tie a nice colorful ribbon around the top. If you're not such a great cook you can always just go to the store and buy some fruit and place them in a nice basket.

Craft Gifts:

Most people (Women) have some kind of creative talent lurking around. Some women have a talent for sewing, knitting, or crocheting. If you're not a real creative kind of gal you can always just go to the dollar store and get a basket and fill it up with products. Say your neighbor is having a baby; get a basket from the dollar store and fill it up with baby items such as baby powder, shampoo, and such. Wrap it all up in a pretty wrapping and wa lah you have a great handmade gift.

Writing:

Yep, writing is also a great way to make a handmade gift. Just think about the person you are giving the gift to. Write down exactly how you feel about that person. If you write poetry; that is a great way to show someone how much you care about them. Roll the paper up and put in a nice bottle and wrap a ribbon around the top.

These are just a few handmade gift ideas I've come up with. Whoever is receiving the gift will really appreciate the time and thoughtfulness that went into you making such an awesome gift.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-10715717191163866932011-07-11T11:23:00.000-07:002011-07-11T11:27:25.534-07:00Loose Weight Without ExcercisingDoes the thought of exercising makes you gringe? Does the thought of just laying on the floor make you queasy? Don't worry; you aren't alone. I don't think there are many people that actually look forward to exercising. In this article I'll show you a few other methods to loose that belly fat without working up a sweat. The main key I want you to remember is to suck in your belly as you do each of these movements.

1) Refrigerator:

Put the items you use more often on the lower shelves. This way you will
bend over more and trim your tummy. Suck in your belly before you bend.

2) Cupboards:

Same goes with the shelves; put the canned goods, etc. that you use most often
on the lower shelf's.

3) At the computer:

Set your snacks, drinks, phone, whatever a little farther back from where you
are sitting. This way you have to reach; and remember to suck in that belly.
While you’re waiting for a long page to load, lean back, suck In your belly
and bend forward a few times a day.

4) Watching TV:

Set the remote, cigs, drinks, etc. farther back on your coffee table so you
will have to stretch. Suck in your belly as you bend.

5) Walking:
Indoors - Bend over and pick up little things that you would normally pass by
(lego's, lint, socks).

Outdoors - While walking to the mailbox, etc. pick up that fallen tree branch
or piece of trash. Suck in the belly as you bend over. Once a week or so go outside
and pick up trash in the yard, And remember to suck in that belly.

6) Vacuuming

Before vacuuming walk through the house; bend over and Pick up all those little
things that you would normally just Vacuum up.

8) Eating

Don’t take that last bite of sandwich, etc. just put it back on Your plate or toss
it to the squirrels outside. Don't put a lot of everything on your plate, instead
try putting a couple bites of each item. You should also use a small plate.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-30059202188663088862011-06-27T11:34:00.000-07:002011-06-27T11:39:57.216-07:00Ladies, Starting a Home-Based Service Business? Heed These 5 Important TipsWhat a rainy week it's been here in Florida. Talk about depressing, dang!

Now let's get down to business!

So you've been thinking of starting a business from home. You've got some skills, don't have a lot of space for inventory, so you figure it might be a good idea to start a service business. In fact, it's a GREAT idea - you just have to be prepared to get your business off the ground and balance all the work/life responsibilities that are on your plate.

This article is going to provide you with easy-to-follow tips to do just that, but first, if you still don't know what type of service business to start, here are a few popular suggestions:

Ghostwriting for the Internet: Write articles, reports and other information for online business owners.

Transcription Business: Create written records of audio recordings, meetings and more.

Virtual Assistant Business: Provide administrative support, secretarial services and more for other companies.

It doesn't matter what type of service business you start, there will be some challenges along the way. Here are some tips to help you as you go along:

1. First and foremost, set your working hours and ensure everyone in your household is aware of them and respects them. If you happen to be a mother or have other interruptions during the day, there's nothing wrong with setting aside smaller chunks of time where you'll be working. This isn't the "real world" work setting anymore - it's better. You work at home and you can decide when you work.

2. As a service business, you have two very important roles. One of those roles is to provide service for your clients. The other is to FIND those clients and the time involved in this is something many service-providers don't take into account. Ensure you have enough time for providing services and the marketing tasks for your business - or hire some help to make the most efficient use of your time.

3. Charge a fair and rewarding rate. Even if you charge your clients for each hour you work for them, there are many tasks (administrative, marketing, etc.) that you don't get paid for. To set a rate that is worthwhile to you, you need to decide what type of overall income you desire and figure out how many hours total (all business activities) you want to be working. If you find you can't charge a rate that is worthwhile, consider another business idea or target a specific type clientele that is willing to pay the rates you charge.

4. Be choosy about your clients. It can be tempting to simply take on any clients because you may need the cash. Unfortunately, bad clients can drain your time, suck up your energy and end up being more work than they're worth. Resist the temptation to just take any clients because your business will be more fruitful in the long run if you work with easy-to-manage, low-maintenance clients.

5. Don't bite off more than you can chew. If you find yourself taking on more clients than you can handle to earn more money, revisit tip #3 above. You may be concerned about giving your clients a good deal, but they actually suffer when you can't provide the quality service they deserve. Instead aim for fewer clients, charge more and give them stellar service.

If you keep these things in mind, your transition to a work-at-home service provider will go much more smoothly. It's not always easy and when you're first starting out, it can be tough to find that balance and a schedule that you can work with. But stick with it and keep refining your process and you'll find yourself owning a very rewarding business that you absolutely love.

Recommended:

To get more at home business ideas, be sure to visit Just Add Sweat - they're your source for step-by-step guides for starting your very own home-based business. Does your love life
seems a little on the dull side! In every marriage there are going
to be those little ups and downs; but, it's how we deal with those
ups and downs that really matter. Below are a few tips I've learned
that might help in keeping your marriage "Alive."

1) Me

Try and use the word "Me" less! You probably don’t even realize how
often you use that word. Same with using the word "I." It’s so easy
to automatically want to talk about yourself. It’s a habit, not a
good one but still a habit. Once you catch yourself using that word;
stop and try to think of something else to say in it’s place. Like
maybe "You" or “Yours.” How is your ingrown toenail doing? How are
your chapped lips feeling?

2) Lighten Up

Laugh, act silly, tell jokes! If you are anything like me you are the
"Mature One;" sometimes I feel like I’ve lost my sense of humor because
I am always being the "Mom." Responsibility tends to suck the life
out of you. Try and find some humor in life, even if it means reading
a book of jokes.

Here’s a starter, “What did one Volcano say to the other?"
I Lava You!

3) Think Back

Find a nice, quiet, relaxing place and close your eyes. Remember
how you felt just being around him; you didn’t want to leave his side.
There once was passion there and yes, you can get that romance back.
Think back to that minute that you knew he was the one you wanted to
spend the rest of your life with.

4) Communicate

When he comes home from work don’t start griping about the kids, your
job, etc. {there’s time for that later.} Find interesting things to
talk about; if necessary dowhat I do! I keep a pen and Paper lying
around and when ever I find or hear something interesting I write it
down. It could be about something you heard on the news; something you
saw on “The View.” Even something you read in the newspaper. If you
found it interesting, your spouse may too!

5) Ask Questions

During those quiet times with your spouse, when you can't think of
anything to say; try asking some "off the wall" kind of questions.
Below are a few examples:

What would you do if you won the lottery?
If you could live anywhere, Where?
If you could have one physical thing changed, what?

Awesome PLR Articles Packs
Click here to view more detailsUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-54227569789962977632011-06-18T08:08:00.000-07:002011-06-18T08:10:20.128-07:00Rainy Day Crafts for Kids & AdultsRainy days can be a drag for children and adults alike. Despite the weather outside though, there is fun to be had inside as well. Rainy days are the perfect time to break out the arts and crafts that will drive away the rainy day dreariness. Crafts are perfect for all ages and ensures that nobody is left out.

Crafts for Small Children

Children age two and up can sit at the table with paper and crayons. While the younger children may not have a long attention span, coloring will help to keep a child entertained when it is not feasible to play outside. Cut out some shapes on paper and let the children decorate the shapes. For more fun, break out some glitter markers and some stickers. Foam is also a good option for younger children. Foam does not tear easily and is very versatile which makes it a good material for young children to craft with.

Crafts for school aged children

Children who are attending school are likely more adept at handling items such as scissors and glue. Popsicle sticks are a great item to have on hand for rainy days. Popsicle sticks can be used to build houses, picture frames and many other things. The possibilities are unlimited and your child’s creativity is the limit. Paints are also a good idea. Lay out some paint, brushes, paper and some water and paper towels for cleanup and let your kids paint the day away.

If the children are in middle or high school, they are adept at doing more than coloring or painting. Craft ideas for older children include painting on a canvas, scrapbooking and other paper crafts, as well as building crafts out of wood and other items. Cross stitching and fabric arts are good deterrents from the weather outside as they are time consuming.

Crafts for adults

There are many different crafts that adults can do. Jewelry making and scrapbooking are two of the most popular activities. Sewing, whether by hand or machine, is an activity that can take up a lot of time and therefore drive away the rainy day blues.

Crafting does not have to be and is not age oriented. There are many different craft types, with different levels of difficulty available for pre-school age children all the way through adulthood. Keeping craft supplies on hand will make a rainy day easier on everyone.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-57728724297214262832011-04-01T12:08:00.000-07:002011-04-01T12:42:50.756-07:00Drug Test People on WelfareThat's right! If my husband has to be drug tested at work I think all the people on food stamps, welfare, etc. should be drug tested too.

Had a neighbor that got kicked out for not paying his rent. Him and his daughters collected welfare, got food stamps, free clothes, free cell phone, free internet, hell the kids even got free Christmas presents, etc. He would go weeks without leaving his place. He had no need to get a job cause he got everything and then some for free. Come to find out he hid in his bedroom with his computer and smoked pot all day.

My husband has to get up and go to work everyday; he doesn't want too but he does.
It pisses me off.

I think I'm going to the petition site and start a petition.
------------------------------------------------------

On a happier note my Husband quit his job of 20 years. He got pissed off and gave his two weeks notice; after he was offered another job making $4 an hour more & $40 a day more per-diem. So anyway, the same day he got a phone call from the Big Boss and got a promotion and a bigger pay raise. OMG! So now instead of being a Pipe Superintendent; he is officially a "Project Manager." Now this all happened on the same day.

Now the best part is; they are sending us back to Tampa for a 2 year job. He will be working at Tee Co power plant like he was.

So we get to go back home and stay at the house we have had for 2 years. We're paying $1,300 a month there; and $900 a month for this place in N.C. Now we can just pay rent on our place in Apollo Beach, Fl.

Well color me Happy!

On another note: Kevin cooked some awesome hand made crab stuffed tilapi fish; he included stuffing, crabs and topped it all off with shrimp and homemade sauce. Damn he's a great cook.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-57590828777621327132011-03-18T09:52:00.000-07:002011-03-18T10:19:41.749-07:00Saddened by Japan's EarthquakeI feel so sorry for Japan. It's just awful. On the news this morning it said the total deaths were over 4,000. OMG! And 10,000 are still missing. One especially sad clip on the news was a fireman who risked his life to go help put up a barricade before the tsunami hit. He came back to find his entire family dead & or missing. Four Grandsons included. Oh Dang! He started crying; I started crying.

I wish there were something I could do; I've prayed & donated. Would love to do more.

Saw a really good clip on youtube the other day. This guy & his friends made up some signs that said "Honk if you love Japan." For every honk he got, he donated $10. Go to youtube and type in Honk if you love Japan and view it.

For every one million view he gets he will donate another $600. How cool is that!

Okay now on to happier thoughts; it's a beautiful sun shiny day! Got the doors & windows open. Fixing to go sit outside and read a book and enjoy some of this weather. 81 degrees. Don't know what we are going to do this week-end but you can guarantee it will be something outdoors. Damn right : )

Well I'm outta here, have one more blog to post in.

Enjoy your week-endUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-25176862903944522942011-03-15T11:56:00.000-07:002011-03-15T12:07:10.885-07:00Rainy, Dreary DayJust a blah kind of day here in N.C. But the week-end was so gorgeous it's all good. Plus tomorrow is supposed to be nice & sunny. I don't see how people up north can survive mentally with all the cold, snowy weather. Makes me just want to grab a book and stay in bed. I actually just got out of a hot bubble bath myself.

When we lived in Maine there was altogether maybe one decent week of nice weather. It rains, and rains, and rains. When it's not snowing. I have some friends up there though and they deal with it because they are outdoor kind of people. Some of them have little shacks up in the hills and they hang out there and hunt & fish. Cool! Just not for me; I need the sun!

Looks like we will be moving back to Apollo Beach, Fl. the third week in April. Yes, I miss all our stuff. Especially all my houseplants I set outside. I left my lemon tree and money tree plant on the back porch and the landlord that lives next door is tending to them for me. Yay! Last time we went home I did loose a few plants and my favorite & most expensive one is my bonzai. It's sunburned or something. Last time we went home there were like hundreds of baby aloe's all around my two huge aloe plants. I need to pick them off and replant them. Should sell them on ebay. Got enough.

Well gotta run, have sugar cookies cooking in the oven.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-5992454051723716232011-03-10T08:40:00.000-08:002011-03-10T08:58:31.946-08:00Rain, Rain & More RainIt's all good; the birds, grass and all need water. Just does kind of make it a dreary, blah kind of day.

Hubby was in a cooking mood when he got home from work last night. Sweet tooth bug I guess. He made the kids some banana pudding & some apple crisp muffins. While he was doing that I was wrapping bacon around some shrimp and cooked up a batch of bacon wrapped shrimp. Which I just finished eating the last of. Do not; I repeat, do not, bring shrimp or crab in this house and expect leftovers. I love seafood!!!!

It's such a nice peaceful day even though it is raining. All I can hear is the sound of the clock on the wall ticking. It won't be that way for too much longer though. Barb gets home a little after 3:00 and Billy gets home a little after 4:00. Barbie doesn't just come in the door; she charges though the door wide ass open. Chatting the entire way, and doesn't stop chatting until one of her friends show up at the door and she goes outside to play. Dang, to be 11 again.

Now Billy when he comes in he's a quiet mouse. Drops his heavy ass book bag on the floor and goes in the kitchen to make him some jelly toast. Then proceeds to do his homework, still quietly.

Well I better go look in the freezer and find something to set out for supper tonight; and get the last load of laundry out of the dryer. It just buzzed me to let me know I'm not quite finished with all my chores for the day.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-51699954148465234702011-02-18T06:17:00.000-08:002011-02-18T06:38:05.499-08:00Warming Up in N.C.Got the windows and doors open. Thank You Lord! The cold weather didn't use to bother me so much but now; holy crap. I am an outdoor kind of gal and need to get outside and get fresh air. It stifles me mentally and physically if I don't get out. Feels kind of like an animal in a zoo.

I'm sitting here looking at my little Betta fish and feel so sorry for him with nothing to do but swim around in his little bowl. How boring would that be. We have a big aquarium for him back in Florida. But here we have him in a regular plastic bowl.

Oh yeah, another thing I am looking at while sitting here in the kitchen is a gorgeous pot of live tulips Kevin got me for Valentines Day. There are two pink ones, two red ones and two white ones. So pretty; he always gets me fresh bouquets to keep in the kitchen and coffee table but personally I would prefer live plants. He is a really awesome guy; so thoughtful and sweet.

Barbie spent the week indoors cause she got grounded. I don't know who took it worse; her or me. Ha! Here's what happened. The lady next door put out some helium filled balloons in her front yard and at the corner and at the mailbox. Kevin and I sat here and watched her. Cool, someone is having a party we said. A few minutes later Barbie and her friends come running through the yard and grabbed the balloons, her friends grabbed the ones in the yard and Barbie grabbed the ones at the corner road sign. Yelled at her to put them back; she did but they blew away anyway. Told her to tell her friends to go home and for her to get her ass inside. That was Sunday and yesterday was Thursday. That's the longest she has ever been grounded. I can't believe she did something like that. The neighbors had their little girls party anyway. Luckily they had one of those big jumpy blow up things so the guests could see it since there were no balloons to show them the way to the party. Told Barbie some of the guests probably didn't show up because they couldn't follow the balloons to the party. Tossing some guilt her way wasn't really a nice thing to do; but it pissed me off.

Well, I hear the dryer buzzing me. Got all my other chores finished. Got an early start this morning cause it's Friday. Monday & Friday are my major cleaning days. Get ready for the week-end and clean up after the week-end. Oh Dang!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-84045418309999362552010-12-15T12:16:00.000-08:002010-12-15T12:36:13.512-08:00Frost Advisory in EffectHoly Crap! So cold here in N.C. Should be going back to Florida this time next week. It's in the upper 50's and back to the 70's in Florida. Did have a cold front come through Florida though. Got down to 35 degrees. Hope all my houseplants survived. I really should have brought my bonzai tree with us. Dang!

The kids are hoping to see some snow before we leave here. NOT ME!~ Saw enough in Green Bay, etc.

Being 55 and trying to raise our 11 year old daughter is wearing me down. It was different when I was in my 20's and raising my other daughters; which are now in their 30's. I guess this is a test from GOD. My 13 year old son and 19 year old son are so much quieter and calmer. It's all good.

Well just finished posting on my other blogs:

Blogging, Marketing & Writing Tips
http://freelancejan.blogspot.com

All About Marketing Blog
http://blog.freelancejan.com

Am starting up a new newsletter on Writing & Marketing Tips in January. Am anxious about it. Good thing I saved my list of 3,000 subscribers from my old newsletter. Will invite them to see if they want to subscribe.

Oh yeah, got mad with hubby this week-end. He had to work Sunday; the guy that was supposed to show up and work didn't. So, they called Kevin and naturally he went in. He's already sick and to go out in this cold weather pissed me off. It's like the more he does the more they expect.

Anyway, since I bitched so much he went to work and bitched. So his Boss called his Boss and Kevin got a raise. Yee Haw. $42 an hour now. How about that? This job will finish up next week and they have no where to send us just yet. The other job is supposed to start up in April; so looks like we will have the next 3 months off. Thank goodness he's on salary and gets paid anyway.

Well, better get offline and check on supper. Have a pork roast in the crock pot. Just have to make gravy, mashed potatoes and biscuits.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-26306468921384202722010-12-11T06:09:00.000-08:002010-12-11T06:20:20.546-08:00Awaiting School VacationYep, I think it's like 7 more days til Christmas Break for the kids. We are packing up and leaving N.C. and going back home to Apollo Beach. The weather here is 40 degrees and the weather there has been in the lower to mid 70's; now that's what I'm talking about. Now Florida does get cold; just not this cold. Brrr!

Debating rather to make the kids another big breakfast or not.

Hubby cooked up to 2 boxes of King Crab Legs last night, dipped some in melted butter (yes, butter, not margarine.) So I already snitched some for breakfast this morning. My Bad! Fixing to put the pot on and reheat the suckers.

He bought a huge honey glazed spiral ham he's cooking today. Tummy will feel warm and fuzzy.

Not much else going on. Trying to figure out how to get the html code for one of my sites broken down into just a frickin plain ole link; instead of html.

Think I'm on the verge of Alzheimer's or something. Have so much shit going online (Biz shit) that I can't remember half of the stuff I am involved with. Need to take one day and just focus on them. Start with the ones that make me the most money.

If you affiliate with a program or Business; always make sure they offer at least, at least; 25% pay. Especially watch out for the bigger companies like Vonage, etc. They only pay 10%. You would have to sell a hundred dollar item to make $10. Not worth your time and effort.

Well, enough here. Got to run through the shower and then feed my face. Am trying to gain weight and it's harder than it seems.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-48785384798781730652010-11-27T06:09:00.000-08:002010-11-27T06:28:09.260-08:00Thanksgivings OverWow, do I have a full belly or what? Hubby went all out this year. He cooked everything there is that has to do with Thanksgiving. Honey Glazed Spiral Ham injected with Praline Honey; Turkey Breast injected with Creole Butter. Actually I just finished frying an egg, ham and turkey for breakfast. Again with the full belly. Oh yeah, 4 pumpkin pies, 2 cans of whip cream and a tub of whip cream. Needless to say the pies are all gone. These 3 kids love pie! Good thing we are all skinny.

We complimented him on what an awesome supper it was, he just called from work and wants me to set out the other Butterball Turkey Breast. Oh Dang! Better let it defrost in water in the sink.

We have a bottle of Mum's Champagne in the fridge and are going to try another bubble bath; last month I dropped my glass of champagne in the bubble bath. We both jumped out real quick. Tried it again last week-end and made it without dropping my glass. He adds the moisturizing beads and the bubble bath liquid stuff so it is pretty slippery.

Twenty years later and he still thinks he has to woo me; came in with a fresh cut flower bouquet, a box of chocolate mints & the bottle of champagne.

One more day before the kids go back to school. Luckily Barbie has a couple of girlfriends here too so she has friends to play with. She called her friends in Florida yesterday & still gets to facebook and email them. Told them we should be going back home in three weeks. Hope so N.C. is getting cold. Were supposed to be out of here by now; but things at the jobsite are putting us a tad behind. Hubby had to fire one of his guys cause of it.

Well, I'm outta here; have two more business blogs I need to add content too.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-380441201922265902010-11-18T10:35:00.000-08:002010-11-18T11:08:59.069-08:00It's Almost Thanksgiving DayI love Thanksgiving Day. All the cooking & all the eating. The best part is not having to cook for the next few days afterwords because of all the leftovers. Not sure where we will be though this year. We kind of want to have dinner back in Florida; but when I think of all the traffic OMG!

Guess we're going to go back and hang out for a month til the next job starts up in Vera Beach, Fl. That will give us a month to look for a place there and move out of Apollo Beach. Vera Beach is only an hour away.

On a totally different topic now; yet still related to food! I discovered an awesome liquid that I hope I will always have on hand. It's called Magnesium Citrate. See, I have this problem when I eat anything with iron in it. I get backed up and can't take a crap. Yep, shitting don't come easy. But now I can eat all the iron filled food and still find relief. I mean this stuff acts quick. Be prepared and don't plan on being away from a toilet. You can buy bottles of it at CVC Pharmacies.

Speaking of buying, I'm sitting here looking at a clear pitcher vase filled with 2 dozen roses, and the cutest fake butterfly that is sitting atop it. The butterfly is on a long stick and looks as if it's sitting on the flowers. My husband buys me fresh cut flowers and has for 20 years. But see, the store closest too us doesn't sell flowers or plants so we have to drive to the end of town to get them. Which naturally is fine with me. I have a bouquet from last week sitting in the corner of the garden tub in the bathroom. Yes, we both love houseplants and flowers.

Speaking of houseplants; we have about 30 or so that we left out back in Florida. I sure hope the neighbors are taking care of them like they said they will. The aloe plants were almost three feet tall; I can't wait to see them all.

By the time we take the new plants he bought me here, back home I'll have enough plants to fill up a whole room this winter. Yikes!

Well enough chit chat, I'm outta here.

Be sure and visit my other sites too!
---------------------------------------

J.K.E. So, my reaction was to lay on the couch
and watch movies all day. I was depressed as shit!

I don't like it here; the first week here some long haired, tobacco chewing, hillbilly boys showed up at the door wanting Billy. We were all looking out
the windows watching them with their 4-wheeler trying to get Billy to be
friends. Anyway, nothing to worry about; Billy came straight in, rushed to
the sink and washed his hands cause the tobacco chewing little rednecks
did their "peace out" hug and handshake kind of deal. Ewe! Needless to say;
the next day Kev and Jess took him to the Barber shop and had his hair cut short.

We left our Z71 truck in Florida so I am stuck here with no ride. Just the stupid
company truck. I miss the beach, I miss me and Kevin walking on the beach
collecting shells for my crafts. I miss taking the kids to the beach. I miss the water.

Kevin is trying real hard to make me feel better; he brings me home new things.
Like a four foot crystal ball wind chime, new plants, new clothes, fresh bouquet
of flowers in an awesome pitcher, etc. Right now we have a bottle of
champagne chilling in the fridge, because he bought us some more bath beads and bubble bath stuff for tonight. He's trying so hard to make me happy.

The sign at the end of the road for this place says " Manufactured Home
Community;" It's a glorified freakin trailer park.

The last time we lived in a trailer park I got into a fight and the cops came and
wanted to know if I wanted to press charges against the fat bitch. I didn't.
But she ruined my toe ring, my ankle bracelet, my hair decorations, my
necklace, etc. I turned to walk away from the bitch and she grabbed me by my
ponytail and threw me on the ground. The kids were freaking out, I hollered go get your Dad; he was on the back porch sweeping and didn't even notice anything going on. I put both of my legs {while laying on the ground like a varmint} on thunder thighs and tossed her back against the gravel.

A week before this confrontation; the fat bitches daughter took my son's head
and smacked it on the school bus seats metal bar; because she was the monitor
or whatever. Her Mom is the trailer park slut, the girl herself is a lesbian that walks around kissing other girls. I don't need my kids seeing that kind of crap!
She ended up getting kicked out cause she can't pay rent, can't hold a job and can't hold a man.

Well, I have been known to become "Super Mom" when someone messes
with one of my youngins. That's what the kids on the bus called me when I
climbed on the bus and demanded to know which one of the little freaks choked Jesse on the neck. Ever since then the kid would duck when the buss pulled up.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-6249791484893422942010-10-08T07:46:00.000-07:002010-10-08T08:06:17.837-07:00Yay, the week-end has arrivedWow, what a long week. I am so glad it's the week end! The weather is awesome. The Military Park is having a re-enactment this week-end, so looks like we will be going there. Cool! Then next week-end the Live Farm at the Park is having a fall festival where the people dress up like they did in the mid 70's. Along with the hayrides, pumpkins and such.

Hey there's not much to do here, so take advantage of what is offered right?

Trying to butter up Barbie's teachers, so this morning took some of my fresh cut flowers from the two bouquets Kev got me and made Barb up three small bouquets to give to her teachers. It usually works. Worked with her grouchy bus driver in Georgia, worked with her two teacher in Florida. Every little bit helps.

So gorgeous outside. Took all my houseplants outside and set them on the front steps so they can get some fresh air. Have all the windows and doors open; awe love the fresh air.

Oh yeah, Jess got $100 as a graduation gift from his Grandma and another $50 from her for his birthday; so he usually walks to the store at the bus stop in the afternoon and buys us stuff. Yesterday he brought me home a gorgeous dream catcher with a wolf picture, and my favorite white chocolate candy bar. Yay me! Then Kevin came home with three bags of kit kat bars. Dang, my sweet tooth is a singing. Ha!

Since I'm blogging here, I reckon I might as well go to my other business related blogs and post an article or so. Oh yeah, a kids story I wrote a while back was accepted by "fairytales & dreams. They are publishing it. "The Lost Easter Map."
Cool! Apparently it will be available online soon via Amazon, etc.

Well, the dryer just buzzed me so, better go fold and put away some clothes. Last chores of the day. Again, Yay Me!

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-3456555164635288522010-09-30T07:17:00.000-07:002010-09-30T07:36:02.750-07:00Looking For a Storage BuildingCrap! Looks like we will have to leave N.C. this weekend and go to Apollo Beach, Fl. and put all of our stuff in a storage building. There is no sense in continuing to spend $1,300 a month for rent there and $900 a month here. That's not even counting the bills. Crap!

The job here in N.C. should be over in a month and the next two jobs will be back down south. So, we are hoping to find a cheaper place when we get back there. Sucks, cause that's the first time in 20 years we have lived somewhere for two years. Plus the kids made such good grades; both boys made the "A Honor Roll." Barbie had soooo many little friends and the teachers adored her.

It's a good thing I'm an adaptable kind of gal. Had to buy a new couch here; we already have two couches back in Fl. Ditto with microwaves, crock-pots, pot's and pans, etc.

But we're together and that's all that matters. His job so SUCKS; sure the pay is great but when you think of all the deposits you have to put down every time we have to move to the next job.

The other part that SUCKS is now I won't be able to buy from ebay, etc. Or Order all the cool freebies I find online. Not without an address. No point in getting one here cause we'll be gone by the end of next month. Oh Well, Shit Happens, right. Ha!

At least the jobs lately have been down South instead of where we have been. Idaho, Wyoming, Arizona, Maine, Virginia, etc. My skinny little white ass just isn't into that snow crap anymore. The winters in Florida are just fine for me.

Oh well, until next time. I will start posting more often.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5046659890597724271.post-64195981967059418492010-08-21T08:39:00.001-07:002010-08-21T08:56:11.106-07:00What a Long Ass Week it's Been. The week is finally over with. What a long week it's been. No tv, no microwave, no furniture, etc. Just a big ole empty trailer. At least we have a stove and fridge. Hubby finally had enough time off of work to go get us a new flat screen tv, blankets, and such. Right now he's trying to rent us a washer and dryer.

With a family of five; we need a washer and dryer. (Even though we have all of the above and more at our house in Florida.) Since I don't drive, Hubby had to go to the laundromat after work yesterday; spent $20 to wash & dry all the clothes.

We wanted to go back home and pick up some things; but that's a 20 hour ride back & forth. I didn't want to spend the week end on the road again. Probably will go next week end. At least it's not as long a ride as the one we had to take last month to Va from Fl. 13 hour ride. Or the trip from Haines City, Fl. to Lincoln, Maine. OMG!

Did I mention his job sucks? If it wasn't for the money; we would totally say Screw This! The only really good part about all of the moving is the experiences we get to have. You know, eating Boudain Balls in Texas. Cajun Crawfish in New Orleans, fresh off the boat crabs & shrimp in Florida & Alabama.

Oh yeah, and seeing roadrunners in our yard in Arizona, Armadillo's in our yard in Texas, Rams & whitetail deer in Wyoming, hermit crabs in our yard in Florida was kind of cool. Got some great pictures. Dolphins, Manatees and rays off our dock in Florida. Not sure what we'll see or eat here in N.C.

It's all good at least we're all together as a family and that's what matters. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
