I feel so sorry for Japan. It's just awful. On the news this morning it said the total deaths were over 4,000. OMG! And 10,000 are still missing. One especially sad clip on the news was a fireman who risked his life to go help put up a barricade before the tsunami hit. He came back to find his entire family dead & or missing. Four Grandsons included. Oh Dang! He started crying; I started crying.
I wish there were something I could do; I've prayed & donated. Would love to do more.
Saw a really good clip on youtube the other day. This guy & his friends made up some signs that said "Honk if you love Japan." For every honk he got, he donated $10. Go to youtube and type in Honk if you love Japan and view it.
For every one million view he gets he will donate another $600. How cool is that!
Okay now on to happier thoughts; it's a beautiful sun shiny day! Got the doors & windows open. Fixing to go sit outside and read a book and enjoy some of this weather. 81 degrees. Don't know what we are going to do this week-end but you can guarantee it will be something outdoors. Damn right : )
Well I'm outta here, have one more blog to post in.
Enjoy your week-end
I'm a happily married Mom of 5. Two daughters who are grown and gone with their own children. I'm 66 years old. My husband and I have a 30 year old Son, a 23 year old daughter, and a 25 year old Son. My oldest daughter is 44, her and I were pregnant at the same time. Awesome! My husband of 31 years is a total sweetheart who is thoughtful, kind and a hard worker. We make a great team.

Rainy, Dreary Day
Just a blah kind of day here in N.C. But the week-end was so gorgeous it's all good. Plus tomorrow is supposed to be nice & sunny. I don't see how people up north can survive mentally with all the cold, snowy weather. Makes me just want to grab a book and stay in bed. I actually just got out of a hot bubble bath myself.
When we lived in Maine there was altogether maybe one decent week of nice weather. It rains, and rains, and rains. When it's not snowing. I have some friends up there though and they deal with it because they are outdoor kind of people. Some of them have little shacks up in the hills and they hang out there and hunt & fish. Cool! Just not for me; I need the sun!
Looks like we will be moving back to Apollo Beach, Fl. the third week in April. Yes, I miss all our stuff. Especially all my houseplants I set outside. I left my lemon tree and money tree plant on the back porch and the landlord that lives next door is tending to them for me. Yay! Last time we went home I did loose a few plants and my favorite & most expensive one is my bonzai. It's sunburned or something. Last time we went home there were like hundreds of baby aloe's all around my two huge aloe plants. I need to pick them off and replant them. Should sell them on ebay. Got enough.
Well gotta run, have sugar cookies cooking in the oven.

Rain, Rain & More Rain
It's all good; the birds, grass and all need water. Just does kind of make it a dreary, blah kind of day.
Hubby was in a cooking mood when he got home from work last night. Sweet tooth bug I guess. He made the kids some banana pudding & some apple crisp muffins. While he was doing that I was wrapping bacon around some shrimp and cooked up a batch of bacon wrapped shrimp. Which I just finished eating the last of. Do not; I repeat, do not, bring shrimp or crab in this house and expect leftovers. I love seafood!!!!
It's such a nice peaceful day even though it is raining. All I can hear is the sound of the clock on the wall ticking. It won't be that way for too much longer though. Barb gets home a little after 3:00 and Billy gets home a little after 4:00. Barbie doesn't just come in the door; she charges though the door wide ass open. Chatting the entire way, and doesn't stop chatting until one of her friends show up at the door and she goes outside to play. Dang, to be 11 again.
Now Billy when he comes in he's a quiet mouse. Drops his heavy ass book bag on the floor and goes in the kitchen to make him some jelly toast. Then proceeds to do his homework, still quietly.
Well I better go look in the freezer and find something to set out for supper tonight; and get the last load of laundry out of the dryer. It just buzzed me to let me know I'm not quite finished with all my chores for the day.

Warming Up in N.C.
Got the windows and doors open. Thank You Lord! The cold weather didn't use to bother me so much but now; holy crap. I am an outdoor kind of gal and need to get outside and get fresh air. It stifles me mentally and physically if I don't get out. Feels kind of like an animal in a zoo.
I'm sitting here looking at my little Betta fish and feel so sorry for him with nothing to do but swim around in his little bowl. How boring would that be. We have a big aquarium for him back in Florida. But here we have him in a regular plastic bowl.
Oh yeah, another thing I am looking at while sitting here in the kitchen is a gorgeous pot of live tulips Kevin got me for Valentines Day. There are two pink ones, two red ones and two white ones. So pretty; he always gets me fresh bouquets to keep in the kitchen and coffee table but personally I would prefer live plants. He is a really awesome guy; so thoughtful and sweet.
Barbie spent the week indoors cause she got grounded. I don't know who took it worse; her or me. Ha! Here's what happened. The lady next door put out some helium filled balloons in her front yard and at the corner and at the mailbox. Kevin and I sat here and watched her. Cool, someone is having a party we said. A few minutes later Barbie and her friends come running through the yard and grabbed the balloons, her friends grabbed the ones in the yard and Barbie grabbed the ones at the corner road sign. Yelled at her to put them back; she did but they blew away anyway. Told her to tell her friends to go home and for her to get her ass inside. That was Sunday and yesterday was Thursday. That's the longest she has ever been grounded. I can't believe she did something like that. The neighbors had their little girls party anyway. Luckily they had one of those big jumpy blow up things so the guests could see it since there were no balloons to show them the way to the party. Told Barbie some of the guests probably didn't show up because they couldn't follow the balloons to the party. Tossing some guilt her way wasn't really a nice thing to do; but it pissed me off.
Well, I hear the dryer buzzing me. Got all my other chores finished. Got an early start this morning cause it's Friday. Monday & Friday are my major cleaning days. Get ready for the week-end and clean up after the week-end. Oh Dang!

Frost Advisory in Effect
Holy Crap! So cold here in N.C. Should be going back to Florida this time next week. It's in the upper 50's and back to the 70's in Florida. Did have a cold front come through Florida though. Got down to 35 degrees. Hope all my houseplants survived. I really should have brought my bonzai tree with us. Dang!
The kids are hoping to see some snow before we leave here. NOT ME!~ Saw enough in Green Bay, etc.
Being 55 and trying to raise our 11 year old daughter is wearing me down. It was different when I was in my 20's and raising my other daughters; which are now in their 30's. I guess this is a test from GOD. My 13 year old son and 19 year old son are so much quieter and calmer. It's all good.
Well just finished posting on my other blogs:
Blogging, Marketing & Writing Tips

All About Marketing Blog

Am starting up a new newsletter on Writing & Marketing Tips in January. Am anxious about it. Good thing I saved my list of 3,000 subscribers from my old newsletter. Will invite them to see if they want to subscribe.
Oh yeah, got mad with hubby this week-end. He had to work Sunday; the guy that was supposed to show up and work didn't. So, they called Kevin and naturally he went in. He's already sick and to go out in this cold weather pissed me off. It's like the more he does the more they expect.
Anyway, since I bitched so much he went to work and bitched. So his Boss called his Boss and Kevin got a raise. Yee Haw. $42 an hour now. How about that? This job will finish up next week and they have no where to send us just yet. The other job is supposed to start up in April; so looks like we will have the next 3 months off. Thank goodness he's on salary and gets paid anyway.
Well, better get offline and check on supper. Have a pork roast in the crock pot. Just have to make gravy, mashed potatoes and biscuits.

Awaiting School Vacation
Yep, I think it's like 7 more days til Christmas Break for the kids. We are packing up and leaving N.C. and going back home to Apollo Beach. The weather here is 40 degrees and the weather there has been in the lower to mid 70's; now that's what I'm talking about. Now Florida does get cold; just not this cold. Brrr!
Debating rather to make the kids another big breakfast or not.
Hubby cooked up to 2 boxes of King Crab Legs last night, dipped some in melted butter (yes, butter, not margarine.) So I already snitched some for breakfast this morning. My Bad! Fixing to put the pot on and reheat the suckers.
He bought a huge honey glazed spiral ham he's cooking today. Tummy will feel warm and fuzzy.
Not much else going on. Trying to figure out how to get the html code for one of my sites broken down into just a frickin plain ole link; instead of html.
Think I'm on the verge of Alzheimer's or something. Have so much shit going online (Biz shit) that I can't remember half of the stuff I am involved with. Need to take one day and just focus on them. Start with the ones that make me the most money.
If you affiliate with a program or Business; always make sure they offer at least, at least; 25% pay. Especially watch out for the bigger companies like Vonage, etc. They only pay 10%. You would have to sell a hundred dollar item to make $10. Not worth your time and effort.
Well, enough here. Got to run through the shower and then feed my face. Am trying to gain weight and it's harder than it seems.

Thanksgivings Over
Wow, do I have a full belly or what? Hubby went all out this year. He cooked everything there is that has to do with Thanksgiving. Honey Glazed Spiral Ham injected with Praline Honey; Turkey Breast injected with Creole Butter. Actually I just finished frying an egg, ham and turkey for breakfast. Again with the full belly. Oh yeah, 4 pumpkin pies, 2 cans of whip cream and a tub of whip cream. Needless to say the pies are all gone. These 3 kids love pie! Good thing we are all skinny.
We complimented him on what an awesome supper it was, he just called from work and wants me to set out the other Butterball Turkey Breast. Oh Dang! Better let it defrost in water in the sink.
We have a bottle of Mum's Champagne in the fridge and are going to try another bubble bath; last month I dropped my glass of champagne in the bubble bath. We both jumped out real quick. Tried it again last week-end and made it without dropping my glass. He adds the moisturizing beads and the bubble bath liquid stuff so it is pretty slippery.
Twenty years later and he still thinks he has to woo me; came in with a fresh cut flower bouquet, a box of chocolate mints & the bottle of champagne.
One more day before the kids go back to school. Luckily Barbie has a couple of girlfriends here too so she has friends to play with. She called her friends in Florida yesterday & still gets to facebook and email them. Told them we should be going back home in three weeks. Hope so N.C. is getting cold. Were supposed to be out of here by now; but things at the jobsite are putting us a tad behind. Hubby had to fire one of his guys cause of it.
Well, I'm outta here; have two more business blogs I need to add content too.
